Technical Design Intern

We are looking for a Technical Design Intern to join our design team at our Viareggio office: LUCE5 Yachting. The selected candidate will support the operational and technical management of projects, acting as a bridge between the design and purchasing departments through to the launch of the final product.

What You’ll Do

You will work alongside Senior Technical Designers and collaborate with them in the development of lighting products for luxury yachts and boats. You will also play a key bridging role, working in synergy with other departments and our headquarters in Montevarchi. In particular, you will:

  • Develop technical models (2D and 3D) using AutoCAD and SolidWorks;
  • Assist in the creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation for production;
  • Participate in the development of prototypes and functional tests for project validation;
  • Transfer final design codes from the design department to the purchasing office for material ordering.

What We Are Looking For

  • Technical/Mechanical/Surveying diploma and/or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or Engineering;
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (mandatory) and 3D design (preferred);
  • Basic mechanical knowledge;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel;
  • Good knowledge of English (at least B1 level);
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and teamwork.
